One of the best things about working at a place where creativity is king is that I’ve got lots of creative friends.
Two friends of mine – both fantastically talented designers – recently started a company called Box Play for Kids. As parents of a darling {like, CRAZY darling} 3-year-old girl, they noticed that she loved pretty much anything that had to do with stickers and old cardboard boxes. That’s when the idea struck to create stickers that turn items on their way to the recycling bin into new toys.
My kids love these stickers and we’re not alone. They’ve been getting press left and right since they launched.
Here are our kids one random night a few months ago after we’d finally saved up enough tubes to use the stickers.

Today, Avery and Nolan were part of a little Box Play for Kids video production in my friends’ backyard. They were shooting for some upcoming media opportunities and we were more than happy to help. Nolan, however, was only happy to help for approximately 7 minutes.

{Avery inspecting the adorable Bento Box sticker you apply to a cereal box. Since chicken nuggets and PB sandwiches aren’t part of a traditional bento box, she has no clue what she’s looking at.}
{About 7 minutes in, Nolan decided he had reached his limit. If we’d have been hired talent, he would have been fired fo’ sho’. He’s probably just upset that his mother can’t get her act together and buy him pants that are long enough.}
