I bought the game Hedbanz this weekend for the family to play together. You put a card on your a blue plastic headband and ask the other players a bunch of yes/no questions to figure out what you are.
{It clearly isn’t a “How to Spell” game.}
Nolan sucks at this game.
To be fair, the age recommendation is 7+. He’s 2.
Me: Nolan – now don’t tell me what I have on my head.
Nolan: OK.
Me: Am I a food?
Nolan: No. You’re Ice Cream.
Me: Nolan – don’t tell me what I am.
Nolan: OK. You’re not Ice Cream.
Me: Am I Ice Cream?
Nolan: Yes.
Avery’s only slightly better.
Avery: Am I a dog?
Me: No.
Avery: Am I a hat?
Me: No.
Avery: Am I a car?
Me: No.
Avery: Am I a bed?
Me: No.
On and on and on. And on. And on. Until 30 minutes later when we hit Giraffe.
The other thing we did this weekend, on the day of our 10 year anniversary, was watch our wedding video. It’s on VHS, people {that’s a “video tape” for all of my readers who are under 30}. Ho. Lee. Crap.
My nephew was 4 in that video. He is now in high school and drives. Like, an actual car.
My dad had a full head of jet black hair.
AJ HAD hair. Period.
I was wearing a size 6.
It was like watching another universe.
We had such a great time. It thunderstormed minutes after we said our “I Do’s” in our flip-flops on the beach, we danced the night away to mix CD’s and then our guests took turns jumping off the balcony into the pool below. It was so freaking simple and fun. Just the way we like it.
Hope you all had a great weekend. xoxo
